They only take cash!! Come prepared. Fresh baguettes and great ingredients. I've been around the block with Báhn Mì sandwiches in okc and houston, and Lang's really has the best. I had my first one at Lang's a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't believe myself for neglecting this epitome. A true gem. Very cozy inside, plenty of parking, and a good selection of bakery items. They also make special order bakery items. I ordered the bbq pork bahn mi, and a cone shaped pastry item filled with a vanilla type cream. They were both good. I want to start off by expressing how amazing the bread was. It was like they just baked it before they made the sandwich; the best I have ever had in Houston and OKC. The sandwich was unique compared to other Bahn Mis because they put crushed peanuts in it and the butter/mayo they use has a great flavor instead of just offering a soft texture. The pork was cooked with a great char, and was tender. The veggies were super fresh and offered a nice texture between the ingredients. The location is tucked behind Lido in a small business strip, and the Super Cao Nguyen is literally the back yard. There are a lot of great places surrounding Nhu Lan. I can't wait to try more of the menu, but I call this my go-to for Báhn Mì now.

I love this place. I love this place so much that I have had lunch here 2-3 times a week for the past month. I love that you can get a $2.50ish bahn mi (depending on your choice of protein) whereas, at other Vietnamese bakeries, you have to buy 3 bahn mi (and get one 1 free) to end up paying the same price per bahn mi. I love that Lang's baguettes have crispy, flaky outer shells that collapse into soft, chewy insides. I love the balance of savory, slightly sweet grilled pork; tangy pickled radish and cucumbers; fresh cucumbers, jalapenos, and cilantro; and just enough sauce (mayo, soy or fish sauce, and pate?) to make it all come together in the perfect, balanced bite -- savory, salty, sweet, crunchy, cool, hot, crispy, and chewy all at once. I am also very fond of the BBQ pork, wonton, and egg noodle soup, which is as comforting and satiating as any good noodle soup should be. I have tried all of the other noodles, but this one is my favorite. The Vietnamese iced coffee was strong, but domesticated by its condensed milk counterpart, it made for a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up. Lastly, this is a family-owed restaurant with workers who remind me of my favorite aunties/female family friends. In short, it feels like home---or at least how I imagine home would feel had I grown up in Vietnamese family. Note: You will need cash to get your bahn mi fix here.

My FAVORITE sandwich place in Okc! They also have the best moon cakes there! Every time I am craving a vietnanese sandwich, this is definitely the place I go to. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This was the first Vietnamese sandwich I was ever introduced to, and no others have lived up to it since! The bread here cannot be beat. It is so soft and flavorful! I was introduced to this jewel as a graduate student and it has stayed a lunchtime favorite! As a huge bonus: the prices are excellent! Over the years I've tried several things on the menu and I have never been disappointed, although the bahn mi, the creme puffs, and the Vietnamese coffee are my go to's! Give it a try or get it to go, you'll be glad you did!

I met some friends for lunch and was pleasantly surprised to find out that Lang's was also a restaurant. I thought they were stictly a bakery. The menu contained your basic Vietnamese food - pretty much things you can find at any other restaurant in the Asian district. Prices were extremely cheap. They had banh mi for only $2.50 when most places charge $3+. I ordered the rice plate. It was just ok, definitely not the best I've had. Service was slow. I had to stick my head in the kitchen to let them know we wanted to place our orders. This place is cash only. I didn't find out until halfway through the meal. I didn't notice any signs. The owner was super nice. She said I could come back and pay.

Supposedly this is the best Vietnamese banh mi shop in town, and of the three I've tried, they're right. The restaurant is tucked away in a little strip and parking is easy. The Banh Mi Thit Nuong (BBQ Pork) was tasty and all my friends got the Egg and Cha banh mi. That one was also really tasty. They've also got some good soup dishes. My only gripe is that I'm really picky about the bread, and Lang's baguette is on the softer end. I'm a thin and crispy kinda guy.

I've eaten at many Vietnamese restaurants in the surrounding area, but when it comes to banh mi, Lang Bakery has the best. As with other Vietnamese bakeries, the banh mi sandwiches are quite inexpensive, but what sets Lang's apart is the quality of their bread. It is perfectly crusty, yet has a soft interior. If you're not feeling like a sandwich, you're in luck, as they have a menu filled with various soups and broken rice dishes. They don't take credit cards, so make sure you bring cash.
